NY1 - F-Stop Project Feature
I helped coordinate this NY1 profile of several participants in the F-Stop project: an initiative ran by the Josephine Herrick Foundation that introduced 160 residents of Queensbridge Houses to advanced photography concepts.

To celebrate NYCHA’s Earth Day initiatives, I helped arrange for community outlets like the Queens Daily Eagle to interview NYCHA residents who were trained in solar panel installation and other green technology skills.

Chef Rootsie Davis is one of several NYCHA residents supported by the Authority’s Food Business Pathways program designed to upscale their business through mentoring and institutional support. For this segment, we highlighted her work making vegan cuisine and healthy food options accessible to NYCHA residents.

As part of Black History Month, I connected News12 producers with Clyde Thompson, a Program Director at Butler Houses who worked to keep the community center at that campus open during the pandemic as an outlet for kids and teenagers at the development.

As part of the announcement strategy for the $261 million closing of three NYCHA campuses in the Bronx, I secured several media appearances for NYCHA Real Estate Development EVP Jonathan Gouveia to talk about the Authority’s strategy for bringing much-needed renovations to different sites through the PACT program.
WFOX5-NY - NYCHA CHAIR DISCUSSES BLUEPRINT FOR CHANGE
NYCHA’s Blueprint for Change is a set of strategies designed to bring an injection of necessary capital funding to renovate aging housing stock. I coordinated an exclusive interview between WFOX-5 Reporter Lisa Evers and NYCHA Chair & CEO Greg Russ to explain the importance of this consequential program through a news outlet that NYCHA residents frequently watch and engage with.
WPIX11 - COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER TRAINING PROGRAM FOR NYCHA RESIDENTS
Many people are unaware of the Authority’s efforts preparing NYCHA residents for vocational opportunities and careers. This segment that I placed focused on a training program in East Harlem that trained NYCHA residents as Community Health Workers. I also secured a segment focused on a Spanish-speaking participant for NY1 Noticias.
NY1 - COMPOST GURU DOMINGO MORALES “NEW YORKER OF THE WEEK”
The selection of longtime public housing resident and compost educator Domingo Morales for the prestigious David Prize honoring local New Yorkers impacting their communities offered an opportune media moment to pitch him for the NY1 “New Yorker of the Week” segment and bring attention to the Green City Force program NYCHA operates in coordination with AmeriCorps.
